Strongly disappointed. waste product.

HoMedics was once the leader in these products. But I have to say that the quality and craftsmanship of their products has deteriorated so much that it is not advisable to buy anything from their company now. Not to mention the rude and totally unfriendly customer service when trying to contact them. It seems that a few people are working in the shack. I originally ordered this HoMedics Percussion Action Plus massager in December 2018 and received what appeared to be a used, old, dirty product that was not working. I sent it back to Revain (which incidentally has the most wonderful, understanding and helpful customer service reps of any company I know) and they immediately sent a replacement. I received a new massager that worked perfectly when I received it. Although the massager is very heavy and bulky, making it impossible to use, it has helped some to relax muscles. I have severe neck and back problems and needed something to add to my pain meds and creams. I have had this massager for less than 6 months and now there is a short in the power cord causing it to keep shutting off. You move the string. Aside from being annoying, it's potentially dangerous. My return period has already expired so I need to try and contact someone at HoMedics to replace the second defective product. Even if this is your first time using the massager, it is pretty quiet for such a large massager. It does not take long. Over several weeks of use, the massager gradually gets louder and is now very loud. I cannot recommend this product. This is of very poor quality and will be very difficult for many people to use. Expensive waste of money on cheap plastic that will soon become a paperweight.

Pros
  • Easy to use: press and hold the power button on top of the handle until desired intensity is reached or until it turns off; Press the heat button to turn the heat on or off
Cons
  • High price
