Review on 📀 9-Inch Pink Swivel Screen Portable DVD/CD/MP3 Player with 5-Hour Rechargeable Battery, USB/SD Card Reader, AC/DC Adapter by Sylvania by David Monaco

Received this yesterday and it works! We bought it because the 6-disc CD/DVD changer in our van no longer works and we are traveling with the kids. Our van system has A/V inputs that still work when the discs are plugged in. Here are some thoughts based on yesterday's tests: 1. The unit sounds very loud when the hard drive starts spinning. This is normal as the sound comes from our car speakers, but it would probably be difficult to hear a movie through the DVD player speakers.2. However, the built-in speakers sound bad. I heard them before I plugged this thing in. This is a very high pitched and tinny sound. In other words, if you're watching something with a lot of action, you're likely missing out on that low-frequency hum that gets your heart racing in intense scenes. If you connect a DVD player with A/V cables, the sound will still come out of the player. It doesn't matter to our kids because they hear the sound through the speakers in the van, but we know in advance where the player is and hopefully it won't bother them. Included A/V Cable: Boy is that a joke. I'm sure most of you know what A/V cables are. These are the red, white, and yellow wires you use to connect DVD players or gaming systems to your TV. The included cable has a 3.5mm plug (the size of a headphone jack) on one end, and then red, yellow, and white "holes" on the other. So if you want to connect it to your TV, you need to buy an extra A/V cable. This one works like nothing more than an "extension" because it isn't connected to anything. As we will need this on our trip I'm glad I opened it now and not on the day we were leaving. They would be better off just "poking holes" in the player and asking you to buy your own cable. At least it's easy to replace. I'm afraid the short cable that comes with it will go away and I don't know how interchangeable it is. Overall I think it's a functional block. It will serve its purpose. It seems pretty cheap, but we didn't buy the most expensive model. I'm only giving it 3 stars because I think the A/V cable should be better, its connection should take precedence over the unit's speakers, and the loud noise this thing makes when the drive spins probably for most annoying is user.
