As a teacher currently engaged in virtual learning, I use my iPad via Zoom for about 3-4 hours a day. The class can hear the Apple Pencil tapping on the screen, and it's distracting. I have tried handpiece cases from two other companies with poor results. These covers lasted about 5-6 days before cracking and then becoming wobbly when writing. The caps on these handpieces are much stronger, allowing them to be used longer. I can get around 12-15 days to cover the tip and a pack of 80 is a great price. I used to pay $8 to $10 for a dozen. That should be enough for the school year. A few tips (pun intended): 1. Don't place two fingers on the tip of your Apple Pencil. Set it to 3/4 and then press the cover with a finger. Unscrewing the tip and then putting on the cap also works. 2. **THE MOST IMPORTANT** Since most writing applications (I use Notability) use pressure sensitivity, I use a pen that is 2 sizes thicker than without the tip cap. This allows me to achieve the look I want with less pressure, which extends the life of each tip cap. Note: I would not recommend paper textured screen protectors in combination with tip caps. They act like sandpaper on a rubber surface. If you insist on covering the screen, experiment with tip #2 above. While not a great product, it solved my problems better than any tip case I've tried.
