I was very skeptical that a USB-powered vacuum cleaner could vacuum up more than tissue paper. Imagine my surprise when this vacuum cleaner picked up my dog! But seriously, this vacuum cleaner is very powerful. I'm glad someone else in the house bought it because I just didn't think it could pick up dust and sand from the floor. So yes, you plug it into any USB charger, whether it's a wall charger or a USB car charger, and after a while it's fully charged and ready to use. It only takes a few minutes but it's worth it. If you need to vacuum continuously for a period of time, you may need a vacuum cleaner fork. (or an expensive rechargeable vacuum). And the dust bin is not that big. So depending on how much you suck, it may need to be emptied more often.
