The other day I noticed that our Heavy Duty GE Microwave was strangely hot inside despite not having been used recently. I pulled out my infrared thermometer and the glass turntable was over 110 degrees Fahrenheit! My wife thought it might be because the light was on, so I took the temperature of the lamp cover (under the microwave) and it was over 160 degrees! So in a few minutes I ordered these lamps and they arrived quickly. in a pretty little box. They were direct replacements and when I measured them (after leaving them on for several hours) the temperature of the lamp cover was only a few degrees warmer than room temperature. The microwave doesn't get hot anymore and I expect these LED bulbs will last a long time. TIP: I recommend these 2700k color bulbs instead of the brighter white bulb, they look 'okay'. No one will know these aren't factory bulbs until the cover under the microwave is removed.
