These are novelty socks that you can actually wear. They are comfortable and cute. I like that they stay in place and have the right amount of elastic to not leave marks but also to be comfortable. I've had novelty socks in the past that were uncomfortable, hot and didn't last. That's not the case here. These socks can be worn every day if you want. They are about half cotton and the rest a blend of stretchy stuff. I find that this blend is just on the edge for keeping my foot from being too hot. I will only be wearing them in the winter so it's not a problem if they get warm.I love the patterns and think this would be a terrific gift.
