Review on ๐Ÿš— Enhanced Protection: XO Vision DX382 Universal Car Alarm System with Dual 4-Button Remotes by Kyle Whitehead

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Suitable for mid to high level installers

Key fobs look and feel good for the price. All functions work perfectly. Although the instructions were bad. It took me quite a long time to get everything I wanted. Tip I learned: if you swap any of the switches in the brain, pull the negative terminal across the entire machine. Anything else may result in the unit somehow ignoring the new order. There were so many minor hiccups with the installation that proper documentation could have saved me. that I pulled my hair for 3 days to get it right. Now that it's set up, it's pretty nice. Another tip: solder all connections to something finicky. Otherwise you will probably have buggy stuff. The range also seems to be very good. 500 feet or so and I live next to some monster power lines so I think that's pretty good. Features I'd like to pay extra for: A device that can be programmed with a remote control. I made the brain very difficult to access, and I had to keep going inside to understand that it was finally right, it was a bear. I believe that the quality of the alarm is 80% dependent on the installation. and most of the time installers do a terrible job with them. so cheap to do it yourself. take your time. and am very scared PS. The shock sensor is very bad. either too sensitive or not enough. the setting is more like a switch for the most annoying sensor. I hate shock sensors anyway so I disabled them.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Unreliable
