Lots of features for an inexpensive alarm clock

I bought it for the features, not the alarm. I wanted to install remote controlled door locks on an old car that had electric locks with no remote control (88 Pontiac Fiero). Installation was a little tricky but due more to my inexperience with car wiring than the DX382 bug I had to buy some extra relays to match the alarm to the power locks in my car but they were pretty cheap. Once I figured out where to install it and how to wire it, the alarm worked perfectly, the remote door lock functions

It doesn't get much better than this

All I was really looking for was a keyless entry system for a 1985 Ford Bronco that I'm getting working again. There was a lot more to this machine and the price was really good so I bought it. It's really become a great thing. He does everything that products that cost 4 times the price do and he does it very well. I read that the documentation was bad. Well, that's SHORT. Short and pleasant. But it's all there as long as you can read. This is no more difficult than connecting red, black and…

Suitable for mid to high level installers

Key fobs look and feel good for the price. All functions work perfectly. Although the instructions were bad. It took me quite a long time to get everything I wanted. Tip I learned: if you swap any of the switches in the brain, pull the negative terminal across the entire machine. Anything else may result in the unit somehow ignoring the new order. There were so many minor hiccups with the installation that proper documentation could have saved me. that I pulled my hair for 3 days to get it…

Price just went up

If you don't understand car electronics, please don't try, only if you respect your money in 1 hour 45 minutes although I am a professional car radio installer, was This is the first alarm I have personally installed so I think if it was installed by professionals it would take less time. I read all the reviews before buying this unit and I heard from some of the bad appraisers that they thought "Just because it costs less it's going to be as easy as plug and play." Unfortunately it's not all…

Pros

  • Doubtful purchase for seniors

Very flexible opening/alarm system.

After reading the reviews and looking at the prices and features of competing systems I decided on this bundle and was quite impressed. As soon as you open the box you get the feeling that you are getting a lot for your money. Two attractive 4-button key fobs (with an LED display bright enough to be a flashlight!), an unobtrusive central control unit, multiple cable sets for input and output connections, an external alarm siren, an additional motion sensor with adjustable sensitivity , a wired…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Compatibility

Great price. I'm an electrician and my car is basic so I installed it myself with no problems. There are no instructions, just a diagram. You need to know what size cable to use if you want to extend the cables they supply and where to snag the cable, such as in your car. Then you still have to get to the cables, which are often located under the dashboard and in cable harnesses. One downside is that the buttons are too easy to press. If I bend down to tie my shoelaces with my keys in my…
