Great price. I'm an electrician and my car is basic so I installed it myself with no problems. There are no instructions, just a diagram. You need to know what size cable to use if you want to extend the cables they supply and where to snag the cable, such as in your car. Then you still have to get to the cables, which are often located under the dashboard and in cable harnesses. One downside is that the buttons are too easy to press. If I bend down to tie my shoelaces with my keys in my pocket, I sometimes set off an alarm. This kit does not include an alarm. Siren must be purchased separately. Signaling is a brain that has many functions. I appreciate that you can use as many features as you like. I installed a brain, shock sensor, blinking blue LED and separately purchased siren on day one and stopped there. Spring. I just didn't do anything else. I put it on a vintage car. There's more outrageous stupidity in the area than the shrewdness of wary thieves, so flashing lights and a noisemaker will scare people away. I had to extend the cables to fit an LED that flashes when the alarm is activated above the rearview mirror, making for a high-end setup. The fact that the LED is blue is great. It's better than the old reds because the blue pops through and the scum can see it from the end of the block. The features I haven't introduced yet are switches that turn on the alarm when someone opens the hood or trunk and so on. Open or close electric locks. There are no electric locks in my car, but you can buy non-original actuators that turn your old-fashioned locks into modern remote-controlled ones. I'm really dying to have this feature, but the classic is in stock at the moment, so I'll get to it eventually. The shock sensor has two different settings because it has two thresholds. You can set the effort required to only sound an alert and the effort required to have the loud siren sound. It's hard to get this where you want it, as at least one other reviewer has said, since the method it uses to detect impact is through fireworks (of which you have plenty in junk areas where alarms are required ) and loud trumpets is activated. on motorcycles etc. The bump sensor is good in my case because although I haven't bothered to install door switches yet, the bump sensor works from the force of someone getting in and slamming the heavy vintage door behind them. A small downside is that it's easy to accidentally press the buttons on the remote control. I sometimes pushed the buttons and took the keys out of my pocket. This will not happen with another alarm fob on the same fob.
