I ordered white Wolverine socks about two years ago. They felt nice (very cotton), fit well, breathed well and were durable. I recently got a couple more packs of socks for the Wolverine crew, this time in gray and black. These new Wolverine socks feel slightly oily (even after washing), shrink in the wash/dry and don't breathe well. I went back to my order from two years ago to see if the fiber properties are different. They aren't listed as different, but from my observation of these new socks, that just isn't possible. I suspect they increased the oil fiber content and decreased the cotton content, a typical and unfortunate trend in sock production. I might be able to wear these new Wolverine socks in the winter - as long as they don't shrink - but forget it in the summer. My feet would stand in puddles of sweat. I am very disappointed that Wolverine lowered the quality/convenience of this product.
