Review on KOHLER K 97623 SHP Choreograph Floating Polished by Tim Toscano

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Wall mounts are poorly constructed. First remove the vinyl tabs.

This shelf would be awesome if it worked. It is very well made and looks great. Very heavy and not cheap. The problem is that the clips on the back of the shelf have little vinyl tabs that should hold the shelf firmly in place. But they prevent the wall clips from slipping into the shelf clips. I tried my best to force her and I'm a big guy 6 inches and 290 pounds and I couldn't get her in there. I called Kohler and they had no idea why. And it was the same problem. I ended up using a screwdriver and taking out the vinyl tabs. Then they got in immediately. with the brackets on the shelf. They tell you to first apply glue to the brackets and press them against the wall, but then you have to drill the bracket to make the screw holes. I used glue to put them in place and mark them and took them off for drilling. I did this on tile in the shower and my holes were so slightly offset that it was difficult to push the staples together. I ended up loosening the bracket on the shelf just enough to give it some slack to fit the other bracket. Since the shelf sits BELOW on the slats and gravity holds it in place I can't see any p. That's why they had these vinyl grommets to make it so tight. If you don't pry off the bottom of the shelf, it won't fall. They even tell you it can be removed for easy cleaning. I would be afraid to force it too often. Slightly bad design but it worked.
