The case is metal, aluminum, not plastic, and it looks great, measures about 2.5 inches long and isn't heavy or bulky. This is the best option if you need a very small portable SSD. drive, all you have to do is plug it into the laptop and it shows me as drive D and it's ready to use right out of the storage box, that was nice. It also comes with two short data cables, one USB-C to USB 3.1 and the other USB-C to USB-C.
