The modes are useless when the on/off timer is activated.
These lights have 8 modes that you select with a button on the power module. WARNING. If you use the ON/OFF timer, these modes are useless. Each time the light is turned off, the mode you selected will be cleared and when the light string is turned back on, it will start in mode 1, which is a combination of all 8 modes. So if you don't want to choose your mode every night when the lights come on, or can live with mode 1, then get these lights.
