Bought this to keep my 1 year old daughter Ari from scratching her neck. She and her sister play rough, and a few months ago she cut her neck. The scab itched so she scratched it until new scabs appeared. And this went on for two months until the condition worsened and spread to all of her neck on one side except for the upper part which she could not reach. Obviously I couldn't be there to stop her every time and she couldn't. I can't be trained other than an incredible desire to itch (I'm sure we all understand that on a personal level) so I bought her and her sister one of these. I put it on for both of them the day they arrived (their first birthday!) to get them used to it. I also wanted Ari's sister Maze to empathize with her sister wearing this. We try to keep everything fair. I quickly found that they could easily take them off as long as they weren't uncomfortably tight. They have no trouble breathing and I made sure a finger could fit comfortably through the loop. They don't find it difficult at all - AND THEY LOVE THE OMNIDIRECTIONAL PILLOW EFFECT! However, I also quickly found that Ahri could still reach the flower to scratch her neck. 🫠 So I gave her both flowers. 😅 No breathing problems, a little uncomfortable weight when carried by two people, but she shows no problems. I take her off every day so she can groom herself next to me until she starts itching. Then they go back. (Training.) It works like this, with two colors. This can be effective if they are restrained so they cannot lick open incisions. However, they can still easily lick each other. So I'll probably have to get some traditional cones for this and take a few days off work so I can be with them all the time. 🧘🏻🙏🏻I've attached a video of Ahri trying to grab a net that accidentally appeared overnight. Lol I've never seen her stand up like that!
