My little devil cat likes to drink his water from running taps because, apparently, he thinks he's some kind of royalty. Putting water in a regular dish results in him overturning the dish and getting water EVERYWHERE, leaving no water for him or the dog (he really does suck).I've tried many different types of fountains, and some he likes better than others, but this one emulates a running faucet, so he's much more tolerant of this one (his last one was more of a bubbler, and he did NOT care for that).Set up was easy out of the box, and I had this up and running in less than 5 minutes.One thing I don't really understand, though, is the top has a 'locked/unlocked' inscription with arrows showing which way to turn it to lock or unlock it, however, the inside of the top is completely smooth. There is nothing that allows the lid to lock.you simply pick it up or set it back on. Nothing 'locks' or clicks into place, so I'm not sure what that's about.Overall, though, as long as His Highness approves of this water dish and I don't have a mess of water splashed all over my hardwood floors, then I'm happy and would recommend this product.
