I bought these based on countless recommendations online that said you couldn't beat the price. That may be true, but I don't want to hear anything worse. I recently bought some used 1200 mk2 with horrible needles and decided to save a few bucks and give them a try. Bad idea. The sound quality is terrible. You hear some of the intended frequencies, but they're all but drowned out by all that noise. Heads are louder than Technic, Pioneer and Stanton. They also have a little feedback when no signal is coming to them. I put in a record with these styli and decided my records deserved more, so I returned them and bought an Ortofon Concorde Mix MK2 ($200). Couldn't be happier with orthophones. I should have bought them beforehand and saved myself the hassle.
