The area of the wall that needed painting was a terrible paint so it's better than before. I don't know if it was because of the material of the wall or because it was glossy paint, but the paper didn't stick well. It was hard to get him to lie down without blisters, it was a real pain. I've used contact paper many times over the years so I'm not a beginner. It's just cheaply made and doesn't look brick in any way. There are other purchase options that are more like a brick so I should have returned it when I first got it and said 'oh no'.
