I love these glasses. I was looking for an oversized style but everything I ordered came up smaller than the photo. These are really oversized frames! I love tortoise shell and transparent. My family says I look like an old UP man when I wear black. Fair point but I love them. Red is cute too. I get "Sally Jessie" comments when I wear them, but that's okay. Now I go to the readers! The hinges slide back to prevent breaking, which is a feature I always look for. With transparent it looks like you are wearing nothing as there is no frame blocking the view. HOWEVER - Because they are XL and offer a full view, you cannot use them as lower bifocals like you can with half lens readers. . You don't have to look down and then up again for normal vision. So keep that in mind. If you're going to use them for shopping, you'll have to dress and undress a lot, so crescents are probably better for that. But I use them for computer work and big meetings, so I don't have to turn them on and off. Highly recommend if you are looking for stylish oversized frames.
