OVERVIEW I find these Skechers Avil loafers to be quite comfortable, fit perfectly and overall a great casual shoe. Make the right choice with your first purchase. I didn't have to make multiple tries to get the US size 11.5. No delays with exchanges or returns - I appreciate it. Reviews are representative of shoes. I have reviewed many of the lower and higher ratings - and I will say I support the higher ratings. AESTHETICS The color and texture of the fabric looks the same as the picture but better. The name of the color "black" seems to be a misnomer - in the picture it looks more like gray to me - and that applies to actual receipt. I agree. The color shown in the picture is an actual representation. DURABILITY The elastic band keeps the shoes well in everyday life. For example, I worked outdoors in a moderately grassy yard and gardened all day. They cut trees, dragged branches, walked up and down the dry, grassy slopes. He walked on decomposed granite - the stones did not get stuck in his shoes. Driven through semi-soiled clay areas with no problems. Shoes did not slip, not even partially. GRIP The outsole provided excellent traction. They've been worn on wet concrete, wet vinyl floors, they didn't slip. Worn on a fresh snowy day - no problem. Haven't tried it on wet shiny tiles. (I'll post an update when that happens). Overall, they seem pretty easy to use. COMFORT I would have liked a little more arch support. If you are prone to pronation (twisting), you may need an insert for comfort. But I'm not going to stand on a hard surface all day, so it doesn't matter. Still comfortable. They are lightweight and not noticeable when worn. They experienced NO slipping, slipping, heel flapping. CONVENIENCE Love the ease of being able to slip on your shoes without unlacing and tying them just to do a few quick tasks (like taking out the trash, going through the mailbox). . They've become a part of my daily life VALUE That's a good value. You get good shoes for the price. The quality is there and what you would expect from Skechers. Thumbs up.
