The presence of white LEDs behind the blue cap means that the light rays are just the same wavelength as the cap. If they are the same color LEDs as the lid then all the light will be transmitted and made brighter. The magnets don't look that strong. I didn't drive with my lights on. I wonder if it will survive the potholes and speed of New York. More than 1 flash pattern required. Since the lid is screwed, I don't know how waterproof it is.
