Review on ๐Ÿ”ด Metra 99-3000R: Chevy Truck 88-94 Red Interior Replacement Panel - Boost Your Truck's Style! by Raul Choudhury

Revainrating 5 out of 5

If you want to install a stereo in your GM truck, use this part!

I just bought a 1994 Chevrolet Suburban and wanted to put in the stereo I had in my old truck. The geniuses at GM decided to split the standard stereo into two. The radio is in a separate dash location from the radio (really? They probably still listened to cassette tapes in the '94s) and equalizer. One downside is that the stock cassette player is very shallow in terms of firewall and dashboard. To install a new stereo you will need this part as it expands the space that the radio can fit. You should be using the stock vent guides, but they just slide out of the stock panel and snap back into the new part. I would also advise buying a GM antenna adapter because again the GM had to be different and use an antenna connector that doesn't fit anywhere else. Also, take a mug to store the radio. Because as soon as you install a new stereo system, the standard stereo system simply takes up space. All of these parts are available from Revain and are inexpensive and easy to install. The ONLY thing I could complain about and it's a bit picky, but the red paint on the new part is, well, new. The red on my dash is older and therefore a little faded, so the colors don't match exactly, but it's not a noticeable difference.
