Excellent but could be better.
That's a great retro idea and a lot of fun. The different button layout is a bit confusing at times, but overall it was a lot of fun to use. The buttons are a bit stiff and it takes a while to turn on. In my experience, a switch needs to be turned on to connect the controller. It's still worth it.
