That's what it is and that's what I needed!

That's exactly what they say, plastic wall panels. Or "Thermonet" to be more precise. With proper installation of devices and panels, they do not break. Breaking any of them is the installer's fault, as there is nowhere they need and should be putting that much pressure on them. I ordered online because large hypermarkets sell a very small range of these plastic plates. They carry consumer-focused "shatterproof" plates that are much more tolerant of a misfit, but the main issue I had is that they're almost mirror-like, which looks ridiculous. Not to mention they are a more profitable commodity. Good old plastic plates look much better without a gloss finish. Can you break them, yes I have broken them but only because I index the screw heads and sometimes run the risk of over tightening them instead of loosening them and sometimes I lose. Also, I find they work great with 2 different switches and I've used both the decor rocker combo switch and the decor timer combo switch and they work great. As someone else said, you can't pull both stitches tight and expect a plate to magically form. They need to be a little loose so they can move and align properly. For those who break them, you break them due to improper installation, they don't do it by themselves, it's exactly what they are and what you ordered. :) I'm just glad I found a source for good old unpumped, non-mirror polished cymbals.
