Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Topeak Defender M1 and XC11 Bike Fender Set: Perfect Fit for MTB 29-Inch Tires! by Rail Basri

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not suitable for full suspension bikes like the Stumpjumper.

Not for use with the special Stumpjumper FSR for rear suspension bikes. The XC11 29 can only be mounted on the fixed part of the seat post. The FSR comes with a folding seat. So you need to mount it to the stationary part, which puts the knuckle at a height where you can adjust the height to about 3-4 inches above the tire. The rear end is very raised, but the pivot point is too close to the tire for full rear wheel travel. You will cancel it every time you hit the ground. It is rock solid though and would be a very nice addition to the bike. If you have a hardtail or fixed post seatpost, you have no problem. The front of the M1 is too big and obscures the front of the tire when viewed from the saddle. In other words, you can't see your front wheel, which isn't good on a mountain bike over technical terrain. Plus assembly M1 bad. The mount is weak and the fender pops like a pogo stick. Bad design. Stick with the Mucky Nutz front fenders.
