I have been trying to put these chairs together for over a week now. I think I am finally going to give up. I can get the screws into 3 of the 4 holes that attach the top of the chair to the bottom, but the fourth won't line up and the screw won't go in to save my life. I have tried everything, including switching which top is with which bottom. They are fairly good looking chairs for the price, but without the fourth screw the top is not secure and leans on one side. I give up!
