I currently own a Reecom weather radio. I needed a second set for my RV, so I looked for a weather radio that was smaller, more portable, and battery operated. The problems started after receiving the device. I removed the battery door to insert the batteries and the small o-ring on the battery door came loose. I put the batteries in and somehow managed to put the o-ring back on (difficult). Programming the device was cumbersome for the user as the programming mode quickly expires if the buttons are not pressed fast enough. When the programming mode times out, all information entered so far is lost and I had to start over. Very frustrating. Once the programming was complete I wanted to see if this radio would perform like my Reecom on the weekly test. This unit RARELY turned itself off during the weekly test, and when it did, I could barely hear it. It rarely worked during a real weather warning, and when it did I could barely hear it. The kicker happened about a week ago when the power switch fell off. I took out the batteries and threw the radio in the trash. I would avoid this model.
