It is recommended to replace the jet nozzles every 6 months, but there are other ways to increase the water flow of the Waterpik and prolong the life of the Waterpik. If the water is hard, you should first clean the device with vinegar, if necessary according to the Waterpik instructions, and replace the seal on the water tank after about a year of use. You will be surprised how much this improves the water flow in the Waterpik. I really like the Classic Jet nozzle but they also make a low pressure nozzle that is good for sensitive gums.
