After adding a 48" utility box holding up to 200lbs to the front of the utility trailer and a steel spare wheel in the tongue area, I was curious to see how much weight it weighed is the trailer tongue was. This scale was perfect for that. The result was well under the trailer's 240-pound limit, but that's why it's better to know than guess. The Revain's tongue balance costs around $300 and is in fact designed for heavier followers. So this crane scale was the best way. With no fixed weights lying around, I weighed myself to check accuracy and it was accurate.
