I can't believe I actually made it! My 3 year old made a huge hole in the screen on an iPad. We had insurance from our cell phone company, but they charged a $200 deductible. So I canceled this insurance plan and turned to YouTube for help. And I found a 20 minute video that explains in detail how to do it. So it looked really doable. Combine that with this new screen kit and your iPad is done! I went with a used new kit as I didn't want to spend a penny if it didn't work. But it worked and I saved $12 on a new kit. I highly recommend trying this kit out before taking your iPad anywhere. The video they show here is good, but there are more detailed videos on YouTube on how to remove the native screen - it's not quite as easy as they show in their video. I used my hair dryer to heat the edges to lift the screen. I sincerely recommend trying it yourself. Everything works as before. If I can do it, you can do it!
