I bought this Chromebook to replace a similar 15 inch Acer Chromebook that is outdated. To cope with low vision, I hooked up a 27-inch monitor to my old Chromebook, along with an external keyboard and mouse, and external speakers. The ports offered on the new Chromebook are 2 USB-C. 2 x USB-A and 1 x 3.5" speaker port allow the use of an external monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers. A USB-C to HDMI adapter was required to connect to the monitor cable. While everything I'll be using will be on my desk, I've been experimenting with the touchscreen, touchpad, and camera, including interacting with my 27-inch monitor. As expected. With my limited vision things are a bit confusing. After a week of trying, a factory reset got me back on track. The case feels good and is slightly smaller than my old box. The keyboard has a number pad and the connections are sufficient for my needs. Speed and functionality seem to have improved, as has text quality. I searched the web using the touchscreen with Ok Google, activated the use of Select to Speak and even took a few pictures. In summary, after three weeks, this new Acer Chromebook has successfully replaced my old one.
