Decent mask in hair masks

I know Christine Ess makes good products and I have seen and heard so many rave reviews about this product that I was dying to try it. Unfortunately, I ran into a problem almost immediately. While the packaging is simple and pretty, it's obvious that it breaks fairly easily. The pump didn't even push to the limit before it broke and just stopped dispensing product. I tried everything I could think of, even injuring myself when my hand slipped and my skin scratched the plastic, but it just didn't work. I ended up prying the top off as much as possible to reveal a hole that led to a human hair mask. Unfortunately, the way to the product was still not easy because the bottle is not suitable for squeezing. Through trial and error, I found that the only way to get hold of the mask was to squeeze the bottle as hard as possible (which isn't much) while shaking the bottle vigorously. Eventually I can get enough of the mask to apply to my hair, but that also means a fair amount of product is wasted as droplets are scattered all over the place. As for the mask itself, it's not bad. It has a comfortable, thick texture that spreads easily through the hair and covers it. It softens my hair a bit and tangles a bit but to be honest I expected more. Ultimately, it just doesn't moisturize enough and the few results I see from it are nothing special. with a pungent, even sugary aroma. For people like me who are sensitive to scents, it's nice to take a break from it. Overall, my experience with this mask was disappointing (and beyond disappointing). Aside from the packaging issue, the mask is fine, but if you want a good amount of hydration and really noticeable benefits, you might want to try something else.
