Review on 🔌 Insulation Station 15 9 with Enhanced Soldering Resistance for Electronics by Bohyun Hansen

I installed this mat and did a project on it that involved soldering, black high temp hot glue, mechanical assembly, and other mess-making tasks. I dripped melted solder on it, my high temp hot melt dripped melted black hot melt on it. When I was done, I picked up the mat and threw the trash in the trash can. The hot melt glue and solder just fell off. Then I wet the rug under the sink faucet with some liquid hand soap and rinsed it out. After drying, the rug looked absolutely spotless as if it had just been taken out of the box. I am impressed with the durability and overall utility of this rug. I wasn't impressed with the magnetic stripe under the parts trays - it's too weak to be of much use. Ideally, the magnetic stripe should be embedded in the mat closer to the parts trays - the thickness of the mat separates the contents of the parts trays too much from the magnet. But I didn't buy it because of the magnet. I bought it because it was above average. It perfectly protects the underlying surface and makes cleaning easier.
