I made a dual layer DVD and thought it might be worth trying these cheap discs at half speed to be on the safe side. After about 12 tries, I couldn't burn through a few percent, assuming it even started: that's 100% failure. I have never recorded coasters on any other media, DVD or Blu-ray. For example, I could burn random files for backup, but I didn't buy them for backup: I need a double layer for long DVD programs. I switched to premium DL DVD media without really being surprised at what I got for what I paid here. UPDATE: My desktop recorder (Pioneer BDR-203) just didn't like this medium. I have upgraded my rating to four (4) stars after trying it on my laptop. What do you know? I have perfect recordings at 6x write speed and checking ImgBurn didn't find any errors.
