At first I was excited to try them considering I am on my feet and walking on concrete over 7 hours a day. The shoes are very light and I can say that the discomfort I usually feel in my knees and shins has eased somewhat. However, that is where the good ends. The soles of the boots are very firm, so if you want to cushion your step a little, you need at least an insole. The heel is raised relative to the ball of the foot, which initially relieves stress on the Achilles tendon, but isn't ideal compared to flatter shoes that instead allow for a gentle stretch. The shoes have very little padding and are quite thin. If you like a good "tight" fit, these won't fit. I usually wear wide shoes but with these I found they were a bit too wide overall and my foot slipped quite a bit. After the first week I noticed that my legs started to hurt more, just in a different way. The balls of my feet and all of the toe joints had to take more pressure than other shoes, which distributed my weight better. I wanted to get rid of them after 2 weeks but stopped there too to see if my body just needed more time to adjust to the gait change and support. Ultimately they just don't fit me and for the price you are on your way to another quality brand of hiking/running/athletic shoes that offer excellent support.
