I'm an 18/20 or a 2X in bottoms from Torrid or Old Navy. I carry my weight in my top half of my body and the 3X is perfect for me. I love these shorts! I do wish they made them without the inner shorts because they don't really seem to have a purpose, but it is not uncomfortable. They are SUPER breathable but do not ride up and work great for working out or lounging. They are no see through and come to just passed my finger tips. I'm 5'8". I feel like these hug my butt nicely, so if you're heavier in the butt these may not be for you.Update: I have had these shorts for two years and I love the outer fabric but the inner liner shorts are too much and pointless. I finally bit the bullet and cut the liner out. Ladies! Do it! These are super light and cool now and not at all see thru. They do not bunch or have to be adjusted like before. If they had a drawstring they would be perfect.
