This dress is cut smaller and it's bodycon so it is going to suck you in, but makes it a little more difficult to squeeze in. I usually wear a 2X in dresses. 5'5 250 evenly proportioned body, full thighs, hips, backside and slight mommy pouch. I ordered the 3X after reading other reviews and it fit perfect. It was still snug, but I could move without it riding up and I wasn't uncomfortable. I probably could have got the 2X, but would have spent the night pulling it down. Comes exactly as pictured. No funny smell. I only gave it four stars, because one of the buttons popped off while I was trying it on. I reattached though.
