I was looking for a more durable monitor mount as my trusty D7L just didn't fit my 49" X800E. After recently upgrading to the LG CX 48 OLED, I decided it was time to finally get a monitor arm that wouldn't sag under the weight of a large display. In fact, Ergotron HX is one of the only solutions when you need more than 40 pounds of lifting capacity. And so I took it. The construction is solid, as you'd expect from Ergotron. The structure is simple, the instructions simple and understandable. Note that you can adjust the spring tension on the arm section with a VESA plate as I've found it to be quite difficult to adjust afterward. I also had to buy a VESA adapter for the CX 48 as the included brackets only support mounting up to 200x200. In general, the mount is very impressive. It's very smooth and smooth in motion, and it didn't show any sign of sag (after adjusting the spring tension). The only downside, and a big one, is the price. If you don't need that much cargo capacity, the next best option (and the one I'd recommend) is the Locktek D7L (up to £33) for over $100 less.
