Recently purchased Bose Frames Alto. My main goal was to use them when walking and golfing (both in practice and during the round). Short review. When I first opened the box I was a bit disappointed as they don't look like high end sunglasses. The frames have a matte finish and look like 3D glasses from Disney World. The case is quite large and the arches look "thick". However, once I put them on, my reservations were gone. The quality of the lens seems very good and it gives a sharp image of the shape on par with my Maui Jim which I use for golfing. . My fears about the thickness of the temples were not justified either, as the glasses sit very comfortably on my face. I wish there was padding or a piece of rubber on the nose but I had no issues with slipping. I was very impressed with the sound of the speakers and the fact that no one else could hear the music. I've played golf on a windy day and never had hearing problems (or swearing from my partners). More importantly, they couldn't hear what I was hearing. Now don't expect great bass or anything like that as there's not much you can do with speakers that don't cover or fit your ears, but I was very happy with the sound. Battery life was very good. I had volume so I was comfortable and they lasted the whole loop (just one touch over 4 hours). I didn't play continuous music as I paused it every now and then, but I'm sure I could easily listen for 3 hours. Another thing that really impressed me was the Bluetooth range. I kept my phone in my pocket and was often 25 meters or more away from the bag without losing connection. If I went too far the cadres would let me know and fix it when I got close enough. The button was great and I was able to control the volume from my Apple Watch. The downsides, in my opinion, are the looks of the frames and the dedicated cable for charging. Too bad they didn't use a micro USB or anything other than a dedicated charging cable. I don't know where to buy additional accessories as I know I want to be able to charge it in multiple places. I recommend them. Clark Averill
