I bought this item for my Ford F250 Super Duty Tanker. I was towing a 26 foot trailer and the trailer kept jerking and it felt like the trailer was trying to drive itself. I have read and researched several articles on the subject. The recommendation was that I put in some sort of airlift or airbag system. I researched several air lift system manufacturers and chose the Air Lift Company because they have been in business for over 30 years and were first used in stock car racing. Installation was relatively easy for two people if you have the right tools and drill bits. I also installed an air compressor and pressure gauge as well as the ability to inflate and/or deflate the airbags while comfortably seated in the cabin. I was very skeptical that this kit would make a difference. Boy was I wrong. The first thing that struck me was that the trailer and truck could be leveled by inflating the airbags. This allowed greater stability when driving a truck. There's something else, but that's just a small part of what was. My wife, who has always been a passenger, noticed that the ride was smoother and more controlled. She said it got harder. Overall, this is the best purchase I've made for towing my caravan. When I change trucks I install another Air Lift 57212 LoadLifter 5000 along with an air compressor.
