A Simple, Affordable, and Effective Apple TV Touch Bar Remote Alternative

I finally got fed up with the Apple TV Touch Bar Remote and was looking for an alternative remote - this one is great. It controlled my Samsung TV (bought in 2009) right out of the box and required a few simple steps to pair it with my Apple TV. The only things missing are (a) Bluetooth connectivity so I don't have to keep pointing the remote at my Apple TV, and (b) a rechargeable battery. But for $16, it was worth every penny — the silicone case fits perfectly, and the original Apple TV touchpad remote ends up in the trash.
