You might think that a 12 bottle wine rack would actually hold 12 bottles. Unfortunately, this is simply not the case. The side rails go in so far that you cannot fit regular sized Pinot Noir bottles on the sides. The construction is solid enough and the materials feel solid. But the openings and the design of the shelf are such that you waste space on the sides and the result is that it is actually slightly smaller than a 12 bottle shelf. My video shows how difficult it was for me to put bottles of Pinot Noir on the side of the shelf.
