It's worth it! Put the batteries in, turn it on, make sure you're on the same channels (but be careful they pick up other walkie-talkies) and GO! My 8 and 3 year old boys and I love them. Great for going from room to room in the house e.g. B. homework questions while preparing dinner, and great for outdoor and indoor communication e.g. B. at dinner. When traveling with multiple cars, AMAZING! So happy we got them!
