Review on ALEKO SP30W24V - 30W 24V Monocrystalline Solar Panel - Ideal for Gate Opener, Pool, Garden, and Driveway Applications by Ernest Duckett

I bought this panel over a year ago and it works great as a power source for a wireless security camera/transmitter. I'm ordering another one because the spot it's in is partially shaded and doesn't get enough sunlight in late fall and winter to fully charge the 2 12v gel cells. The problem is that the camera has powerful IR LEDs for night vision. They work great, but they run out of batteries at night without charging. In summer there are no problems, but in winter or when it is very cloudy, the batteries drain over time and the panel cannot charge the battery and start the camera. The panel starts generating enough power to run the camera as soon as dawn breaks, it just can't charge the batteries. It's not the panels fault and I believe a second panel will solve the problem. Btw, I easily made my own bracket and wiring harness. Light.
