This Mens Whirlbird IV Interchange model runs large. Looks like it's about 2 sizes too big. I have another Columbia spare jacket and this XL they sent me was more like a 2XL or even a 3XL. I can practically wear my old jacket underneath. I can't say too much about the feeling of warmth as any breeze goes straight through the jacket and inflates it halfway. The inner lining looks like it offers more insulation as it resembles a small down jacket, but it's too thin to hold much heat. The reflective layer is in the lining compared to what's in the shell of my other jackets, which gives the lining a bit more value, but it won't do you much good if you're not active enough. hard to find but glad they are there. Otherwise make a good all-weather coat for fall or an active winter/ski coat if you are the right size. if you know your size on columbia jackets.
