The reason I bought these legs was to be able to do - reasonable - French seams - especially seams that come through - and even then not be overly scrutinized. Those legs don't hold the fabric - it's constantly moving in and out [I've tried this on 3 different machines - and it ended up taking twice as long as traditional French stitching. If you sew and don't know how to do a traditional French stitch, there are hundreds of videos online that will show you exactly how. Those legs were money in a dead pig's ass - don't worry
