Do not buy "Used - Very Good "

Opened the box and found a pressure gauge and some brass fittings. Nothing resembles the temperature sensor that comes with the kit. Includes sensor, bulb, green and red lamp base and 2 brass fittings. I will return and buy new ones. Sometimes I try to try Revain Used products but every time I buy something lately it just seems like a waste of time.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Working speed

Autometer quality. But it takes work.

I really like this sensor. I used it to replace the stock transmission temp sensor. Ease of installation. I replaced a 194 bulb, it's about the LED equivalent. The only criticism is that the glass fogs up. Vacuums on wet or cold days. I also have an oil pressure gauge with an autometer and it doesn't fog up at all. You have to fix it. But apart from the fact that he's the prefect.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Disappear

SHIT. DO NOT BUY. Electrical

Fogging. I wouldn't clean it. I turned to the autometer. They offered to solve the problem by disassembling the lens and installing an anti-fog coating inside. I asked and they said it was made the same way when it was built. So guess, bet it will happen again. And they want me to send my pennies. Terrible customer service. You manufactured a defective sensor and I need to send it in under warranty? no Don't give the Autometer a dime of your money. They don't give a rip. Don't buy this. My…

Foggy and too dark for lights and electrical equipment

If I had to do it all over again I would buy a different brand of pressure gauge. The sensor had the infamous fog problem from the start. It does not include wiring or even cable connectors. The incandescent light is too dim and I think the incandescent bulb caused the fog problem. This sensor must be equipped with LEDs from the start. Auto Meter charges an unreasonable amount of money to replace an LED lamp. I bought 4 branded LEDs for a quarter of the price they wanted for a single Auto Meter

Not recommended

Received in good condition. It took me a while to install it. During installation I noticed that the lamp socket was rubbing against the ground terminal, making it difficult to remove the socket and turn it on. Nothing bad, but annoying. Installation went well, worked for about a week. A week later, the device began to fail. The arrow bounced up and down 20-40 degrees. I moved everything from the back, and the needle went all the way. Sometimes it showed 210 when I was tempted, but if I moved…

Great for 97-01 Cherokee XJ. 2 inch hole saw + SEALIGHT 194 8SMD LED

As it comes with a single wire transmitter it is grounded through the transmission thread. If you don't use a transport but instead use T-shaped rubber cables, add an underinsulated ground wire between the sensor and the brass fitting used. The ground of the transmitter is connected to either the chassis or the negative terminal of the battery. The top (positive) wire of the transmitter is connected to the (S) terminal of the pressure gauge. I connected the (I) terminal to positive 12V on the…

Does what it should.

Good pressure gauge that seems to work well. It comes with a good range of adapters to connect the transmitter to the gearbox. I like the fact that you can use knife or ring terminals to connect the wires to the gauge. I used ring terminals because I think they are safer. Please note that this kit does not come with cables or clamps. This kit is actually designed to be installed in a dashboard hole. The included plastic mount is a little flimsy, but it will likely work. I didn't use mounting…

The bulb is too weak. Replace with LED.

Bought this sensor to monitor transmission temp when climbing steep mountain passes. I also had to purchase an Autometer Short Style Transmitting Unit (Part #2259) and an Autometer M10-1.0 1/8" NPT Metric Adapter (Part #2265) to make it work on my 2007 Nissan Frontier. Other brands /Models must check before purchase that the supplied transmitter fits the connector to test transmission. When installing the transmitter, be sure to use Teflon tape and do not overtighten! The supplied bulb is…

Best quality and accuracy

I bought this sensor for my 93 GMC K1500 to monitor the transmission temperature when towing a trailer. And for this winter I put a plow on the truck and I also want to monitor the temperature then because I use a winter road in winter so as not to lose engine heat when the truck's heater is connected. When it gets hot I can now always open the winter front to let in more air. So far I have found that the pressure gauge works perfectly. I installed it in the test port of my 4L60E where the…
