I've been using this humidifier for about two months and so far so good. I'm glad it stays pretty clean and mucus free unlike the last one we had. The old one we had didn't even last a year. Because of the design, it was difficult to clean, so it got dirty. (I tried my best to keep it clean but to no avail. I couldn't get rid of all the slimy dirt and the motor burned out.) I like that this humidifier holds a lot more water so I don't have to refill the water. it is every day I fill it up about every 2-3 days depending on the setting. Normally we don't leave the knob turned more than 1/4 turn. (Of course, if you turn it halfway or higher, it will drain much faster. We don't think it's necessary to turn it that high). The part you fill with water can be easily removed. It has to be turned upside down to fill it and when full it is a bit heavy and uncomfortable. Luckily, the top handle makes it easy to grab and carry when you fold it back. The old one we had wasn't as heavy because it didn't hold as much water, but the lack of a handle or a good place to grab it made it unwieldy. So yes, as long as it's a really good device and I'm pretty happy with it. Again, I've only had it a few months so can't comment on durability at this point. I will definitely update my review if I run into any issues.
