Review on Upgrade Your Studio Setup with the SLOW DOLPHIN 10Ft Adjustable Backdrop Support System Kit by Brandon Thompson

CHEAP, but if you don't need it for semi-advanced and advanced background settings, you'll be fine.

Look, I'm deducting 3 stars because it's VERY cheap. I mean yeah it was only a few bucks so what was I expecting right? Well it's tricky because technically it shouldn't exist if it only does half of what I need it to do. Unless of course you need it to hold very heavy backgrounds, just smaller lighter backgrounds, take your pick.❌ First of all I mean 10ft, that's exactly 10ft. So for those of you (like me) who have 10ft backdrops, forget it because we obviously need a little more clearance on either side, maybe just 6 inches to fit the pipe onto the crossbar and allow the holes to line up both sides still protruding. Sides to slide into shelves. Racks are SO cheap, in fact this whole system has to be made to hang equally cheap vinyl backdrops that fold up and weigh nothing because you can put 15lbs 10x20 or even 10x10 backdrop/tube on it. significantly affects the ability of coasters to stand: bring sandbags, sandbags with you. ✅ It's cheap, if you need it for a simple very light background then by all means buy it. Don't expect to spend that small amount and put expensive (actually heavy) backgrounds on it, it's not made for that. I found a workaround to convert 10 feet to about 10/12 feet: I just didn't fully secure the segments with spring pins, I gave each about an extra 2 inches and glued them very tightly so they wouldn't come loose like that They set them up a 10 foot pipe on a truss, and then onto two racks without too much trouble: two men/women work closely.

Pros
  • Finally got it
Cons
  • No insurance
