After our son was born and we knew he had a long way to go I bought him an amber necklace. He was diagnosed with SMALED2 and a few other things mixed up right there. His old necklace survived his teething, tendon surgeries on both feet, casts and fixation of his hands, feet and legs, and who the hell knows what other painful things he was dealing with. And this guy was a soldier. We didn't have any problems with his teething, he was a lot more malleable than his older siblings, injections were never too much of a problem and countless other things were too. IT WORKS OUT! A few months ago I noticed that his necklace was missing beads and some were broken, so I knew it was time to get him a new one. The last one he had, a polished amber, was no longer available but we found the Meraki and they were different sizes. we bought him a 12.5" and although it's smaller than his last we love it and how it looks on it. We only put it on today when it arrived so can't tell if it's better, worse or the same as the other necklace but it has a cleaner feel so I have high hopes for it.I also took his old necklace and made a bracelet out of it for myself so we can still have it.Only downside to this necklace The one thing I don't like is the clasp, his last one was a twist and this is a bang he's already snapped off his neck ( scared me thinking he'd snapped a string) but overall I'm with it satisfied with the purchase so far.
