We have a house with a switch that is at counter level, which is not only dangerous for children, but also for someone who accidentally presses the switch. I did a little research, found good reviews on this product and thought it was worth a try. The product appears to be well constructed and very easy to install, giving us confidence that the switch won't just be flipped. Easy enough to use for an adult, but the combination of pushing in and pushing up will definitely be more of a challenge for a child. I also like that the switch returns to the off position when you release it.
